Is it Safe?
Clinical Hypnotherapy is a safe and non-invasive therapy which uses Hypnosis as a tool to access to the subconscious mind, the source of all emotional, habitual and psychological behaviour.
The hypnotic state is a perfectly natural state of consciousness and hypnosis in the hands of a trained professional is absolutely safe.
Contrary to what some people believe, a person cannot be hypnotised without their consent and cooperation. Hypnotherapy is a two way process between therapist and the client and although the actual state of Hypnosis is induced by the therapist, the client must willingly accept and follow these suggestions in order to enter an altered state of awareness.
In essence all Hypnosis is self Hypnosis.
During hypnosis, you are aware of what is happening. In fact, your awareness is heightened and carefully focused and so you become receptive only to positive suggestions that are acceptable to you.
Hypnotherapists are not able to take control of your mind - you remain in control at all times.
